District 9 - Wait...I never said how much I loved this movie!?! This is Oscar-worthy. Which, of course, it won't win because it's sci-fi. Damn you, Academy!
Zombieland - The cameo appearance of a famous celebrity is just the cherry on the top of this gory, bloody sundae. See it!
Burn Notice - Start at season 1 -- this is a really fun, involving spy show. But you need to start at season 1.
Up - This had me crying in the first ten minutes and laughing for the following 83. No reservations in this recommendation.
